Ingredients

  • 1½ cups Hathi Brand 100% Whole Wheat Chakki Atta
  • 1 cup sugar
  • ½ cup butter softened
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup (substitute for molasses)
  • 1 flax egg (1 tablespoon ground flaxseed mixed with 3 tablespoons water)
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon ground cloves
  • Sugar for rolling

Method

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a large mixing bowl, cream together softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Add maple syrup and flax egg to the butter-sugar mixture and mix until well combined.
