Ingredients
- 2 ½ cups Hathi Brand 100% Whole Wheat Chakki Atta
- 1 packet (2 ¼ tsp) active dry yeast
- ¼ cup warm milk
- ½ cup pineapple juice
- ¼ cup plain yogurt
- 3 tbsp honey
- ¼ cup softened butter (or cooking oil)
- ½ tsp salt
- 1 tbsp atta (for dusting)
- 2 tbsp milk (for brushing tops)
Method
- Activate the yeast in warm milk with 1 tbsp honey in a bowl. Let it foam for 10 minutes.
- Add pineapple juice, yogurt, honey, butter, and salt to the yeast mixture.
- Gradually mix in the atta to form a soft dough.
- Knead for about 10 minutes until the dough is smooth and elastic.
- Cover and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled.
- Punch down the dough and divide it into 12 equal balls.
- Arrange the rolls in a greased baking tray.
- Cover and allow to rise again for 40 minutes.
- Brush the tops with milk and bake at 350°F (180°C) for 18–20 minutes.
